SUNNYSIDE RENOVATION - VANCOUVER
For this full gut renovation, our clients wanted to increase energy efficiency, with an open concept floor plan, and to update the finishes throughout the home. We dug out an existing crawl space and underpinned the foundation. We upgraded the overall energy efficiency of the house by installing triple pane windows/skylights, an HRV with bath fan control, and a heat pump.
We added more natural light by including large scale windows off of the living room, and incorporated custom white cabinets throughout. We removed the existing dark wood flooring and opted for a light glue down vinyl plank. Bathroom walls were fully tiled for low maintenance and ease of cleaning. We upgraded the exterior wall insulation, increasing air tightness, and cladded the house with painted Hardie lap siding.
