Maximizing square footage of a new home in a city where every square inch is valuable, is almost always the top priority for our clients. This client came to us looking to do just that, with the added task of requiring a legal basement suite.

With three bedrooms on the top floor, the challenge was to provide a large master suite with walk in closet and master bath, requiring very careful planning. The kitchen being open to the living room gives great versatility in furnishing and entertaining. This industrial inspired kitchen combined with accents such as the reclaimed wood mantle and oblong tile surround in the attached family room are clever and unique design elements the homeowners adore. We love the backsplash that continues over the under mount sink all the way to valance at the ceiling.
Like many homes here on the “Wet Coast”, a low maintenance exterior is preferred. We used a paintable composite siding material in a neutral color palette that will stand the test of time and never go out of style.
