SOFT GLAM HASTINGS-SUNRISE RENOVATION - VANCOUVER
The clients wanted to upgrade and update their 1920's home for long term living. They did not want the hassle or expense to build a new home, so major structural repairs were done to the front porch and foundation. A full deconstruction of the interior was completed, walls were thickened to allow for more insulation, with all new plumbing and electrical. To increase the efficiency of their home higher performing windows and doors were installed. We also installed a new mechanical system which includes a high efficiency forced air furnace, heat pump, radiant heat, and a new on demand hot water boiler. A new master ensuite was added to the top floor creating a master bedroom loft oasis. All the original hardwood floors were kept, repaired, and refinished. For the interiors, our clients wanted a soft glam concept. Their kitchen features two toned kitchen cabinets with two magic corners, spice rack pull outs, a recycling center, and an appliance garage. Brushed brass accents are found throughout which accentuates the bold Ann Sack's marble mosaic backsplash. Their luxurious appliance package is paired with engineered quartz countertops while the island incorporates a wood butcher's block. The exterior of this newly painted home had minor stucco repairs, decorative trims added, new railings, and the landscaping was re-done.
