2018 Ovation Awards Finalist - Best Custom Home Under $1 Million
The homeowners for this project wanted a home that was going to be both functional and in an architectural style that would fit in with the area. They were heavily inspired by the post and beam, multi layer 70's style architecture, which incorporated fir beams that cantilevered from the interior to the exterior and lots of glass. On the exterior we used CertainTeed, a recycled fibre cement product for a low maintenance finish. The main floor showcases an open concept floor plan with an engineered staircase to a second floor mezzanine which features framed glass and aluminium railings. Keeping with the open concept we included a large folding Eclipse door system off of the dining room that opens onto a covered deck, perfect for entertaining!
